Alttek Enterprises Ltd. ("Alttek", "we", "us") is a technology consulting firm based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website (alttek.ca), why we collect it, and who helps us process it. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This policy covers only the personal information collected through this website. It does not cover the systems we manage for clients, where patient data is governed by our agreement with the client and stays in Canada.

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the subject, and your message.

Information collected automatically

When you submit the contact form, our server also records your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the time of the request. We use this information to protect the form against spam and abuse — not to build a profile of you. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

How we use your information

• To read and respond to your enquiry, and to send you an automatic confirmation that we received it.
• To protect the form and our systems from spam and automated abuse. This includes rate limiting by IP address and email, a timing check, a hidden honeypot field, and a geographic check that limits form submissions to Canada and the United States.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which places cookies and collects device and usage information to distinguish human visitors from bots. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Service providers and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. To operate the contact form we share limited information with the service providers below, some of whom operate outside Canada. This applies to what you submit through this form — chiefly your IP address and browser details. It does not apply to client systems or patient data, which stay in Canada.

• Google (reCAPTCHA Enterprise) — receives your IP address, user-agent, and interaction data to score whether the request is likely automated.
• ip-api.com — receives your IP address so we can determine the country the request comes from, which we use to limit the form to Canada and the United States.
• Our web and email host — delivers and stores the email generated by your form submission so we can respond.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records. Short-term security data used for spam prevention (such as rate-limiting timestamps) is retained only briefly.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information submitted through this site, including the anti-spam measures described above and restricted access to stored form data on our server. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
